Wow, you might want to take a weekend trip to Sai Kung.
You could spend $60 on the haircut and the rest on a great lunch.
We took our boy (3 1/2) for a cut at a local place next to Pepperonis, was a great cut and a great price. They have ride on toys outside and a puppy inside so our boy was happy to be there.

400 is not so cheap for kids. Magic mirror is specailly for kids which is why the cost is a little higher. You could try TH2 in Soho, just on hollywood rd, kids prices are from $250 for internationaly trained stylists, very friendly to.

IslandHopper, I hear you but my daughter really likes going to Magic Mirror. It may be expensive but at least it won't be a fight. She can watch Sesame Street and sit on the horse. Win win. ;)

When my son turned 2 he became very sensitive about haircuts and it took us 8 months to get him to a sit still at a hairdresser until Magic Mirror ... and my son loved it. The carousel horses, DVD players, play kitchen... wow! The price is pretty dear for a child's cut and for us CWB was far but it was worth it.
For his next haircut we brought him to our local hairdresser in Stanley and he LOVED watching his favorite DVD in a portable player we brought along! We psyched him up to the experience and ... it worked!
