It's my birthday on Friday and my husband is taking the day off to 'do something'. He is a chef, so this is special in itself!
The problem is, we are at a total loss as to what to do. I am 7 months pregnant, so unfortunately no long boozy lunches or much walking around in the heat.
Any suggestions on how to spend a memorable day?

What about a nice spa/massage treatment for the two of you?
Be careful with who you do your massage with.....you want someone who has experience with massages for pregnant women.
Perhaps a nice movie or concert?

I have heard that massages are a no-no for pregnant women.
Perhaps you can charter a boat?

You can get certain massages by qualified therapists. Somewhere like the Four Seasons or Landmark Spa etc with a double treatment room (Ellespa does pregnancy massages but do not have double treatment rooms as far as I know)and a relaxing meal (might be a 'busman's holiday' for your husband though). If you really want to push the boat out, you could stay over. My favourite overnight in HK is the '3 wishes' package at the Peninsula. You can choose a number of options including upgrades, return transfers in a Rolls etc. All things that will be rather difficult in a couple of months' time.
axptguy's junk hire suggestion is a good one. It will be cooler on the water. You could bring a picnic and find a deserted beach that cannot be accessed by road. You don't even need to hire a boat, maybe head to one of the outlying islands by ferry. Head off for a stroll and a bite to eat. I always hated going to Lamma when I was pregnant though as there were so many tempting shellfish option that were off limits for me.
You could pop to Macau and try out one of the new hotels/casinos. Never been to the Venetian, but hear that it's worth seeing simply because it is so surreal. Could stay over or get the hyrofoil back.
A movie, a haircut etc. All of the simple pleasures that will take on a new level of organisation in a couple of months' time. Enjoy.
