Can anyone provide some guidance? Would you rather stay in a hotel on the island or stay on the mainland? Are there any quaint B&Bs or family stay homes or hotels that you would recommend? Not looking for 5 stars but should be clean and comfortable.

mainland - it is a lovely place but i think one day there is enough. How long are you planning to go for? anyway - here is the list of accommodation on the island.

We stayed in St Malo - famous for oysters!
