If you have just started work in Hong Kong you are not required to make MPF payments for the first 13 months of employment in HK. You are required to make contributions from the beginning of the 14th month. But, if you are a member of a pension scheme in another country you may deduct and make contributions to that scheme from the beginning of the 14th month. You can call the MPF Hotline in Hong Kong on 2918 0102 to get full details.
