Just for information, saw today new ozzie milk in PNS "Greenfields" taste nice and for now is for 16.90 which is much cheaper compared to the 23.90 Pura.
So better start stocking up ;)

First of all, this milk isn't new. St*rbucks switched to this milk months ago, and I complained and complained why they weren't using PURA anymore. The coffeemasters said "keeping costs lower!"..... then I asked him where the milk is from, to our surprise, it's from Indonesia.
Wondering why Omaharrison says it's from Australia?Unless something's changed in the packaging..... but that milk tastes bland, like water to me. Making the coffee of St*rbucks now also taste not as good as before. Pac Coffee is still using Pura.

sorry to hijack this thread. I recently bought Harvey Fresh milk from Taste, is this a good milk and is it really from Australia as the package said? I tasted it and it tastes ok but anyone has anything to say concerning this brand of milk?

Momoftwo - It says on the carton relatively large print " ...milk from DAIRY COWS IMPORTED FROM AUSTRALIA", exactly this print with the later in capital letters. However after your reply and knowing how marketing laws and the truth behind advertisements work here I took it out and read every little word on it only to discover " Product of Indonesia" Later on.

Anyway, maybe I've been drinking local milk for too long, I still think it tastes better than local ones.

omaharrison- one needs to be so careful in HK about reading packages. If you REREAD this line carefully... NO, it's not the MILK from oz to Indonesia.... it's the COWS that are from OZ.... hahaha, then they milk them in Indonesia. Huge difference!
Anyways, it happened to me with many items in HK's supermarkets. I never buy anything made in China.... because time and time again, after a few months, they discover problems with noodles, canned foods, colouring, preservatives...etc.
So I bought these noodles that had ALL kinds of Japanese characters on the pkg, and says it's Japanese noodles, handmade...etc. etc.... then I notice on the edge of the crimp... there was this tiny line... product of PRC.
I was SO mad. So now, I look for the words PRODUCT of..... XXX and Made in XXX.
I know a Coffee Master from *bucks... he said, a lot of them have stopped drinking their favs because of this switch. I stopped for awhile... kind of upset, so banned them from my list. However, you get used to it after awhile, can't help it, I need the caffeine in midday. But I drink alot less from them now. I bought Nespresso, and it's so much better.

It's mad, and on the other hand they will stop selling other brands simply because they will need to prove that they are really what they say on the packaging(tests in HK of products from US or Europe) - go figure.
They probably don't even bring the cows from oz but rather bring a dna sample and clone them, LOL.
I tried starbucks and pacific coffee, they are just not coffee for my taste, just blaaa.

Maybe it's the coffee I like to drink, but I find both of them to have either very light or very burnt coffees. However I must admit that starbucks have such grandiouz names that this is usually a turn off for me and I just take esspreso.

You're right of course. I just thought of the fact that I don't even have the espresso at these places as it is invariably sub par and far too big.
A cappuccino is what I go for, even if my Italian side insists this is heresy after 12 o'clock. ;)

LOL I meant the "names" of the drinks are massive. I think when they give you a large drink it simply means more water and a tiny little bit more coffee.
I love my coffee and one of those that can have a nice espresso and hit the bed ;)

Some info on the Greenfileds milk. I too was fooled by the 'Australian' cows I never realised cows had passports!) so I did a quick internet search and came up with these sites. I will still buy it since the Pura is so ridiculously expensive.

I find that Pura 23.90 is ok and we buy it for our daughter's cereals while for ourselves we get the usual 18.90 local ones which sometimes get cheaper. Might even move to greenfields since it's more ozzie managed.

yep, the $69 milk - the organic one - it came down from $75! amazing right! and the thing is it is from US, which is not necessarily "organic" as we might expect it to be! US does not ban growth hormones use for cattle, which, for example Australia does - so it might just be the "no growth hormone" milk from US for $69 - which is exactly what Pura is in the first place!! Who buys that $69 stuff!!!?
