Free newspapers and magazines harms environment

I notice some publications given away, people get them take the mtr, read it and throw it away as soon as they get off. i think in this time of environmental problems, these Free publications must be banned. Just my opinion, cos i think its a waste of natural resources. if you want news, there are loads of news online.

That's very sweet of you being environment conscious. Like dadda mentioned above the advertisers and publishers are both benefiting from this free newspaper, so does the general public. There is another party who is also benefiting from this give-away. Have you notices that there are some people in HK collects the used paper and sell them for money. Although this activities can only bring minamal income for them, but they are willing to do it. These people they normally either retired, poor, or incapably of getting a real job. The social welfare is not enough for them to survive in HK, especially with the inflation this recent years. By recycling the paper that are throw away everyday, It actually helps them in getting the necessities for life. So the paper will actually be recyled, at least most of them.

I would by knowing this, you won't feel to bad able wasting th enatural resources.
