Which luxury resort?

Hi! I'm looking to go to a top tier luxury resort in late July/ August. Problem is most asian resorts (Banyan Tree Phuket, Amanpulo, Philippines) will be facing the rainy season. Mauritius is too much a hassle to get to. Don't want to go to Bali.


Can someone please recommend a top tier luxury resort, with spa for a 3 - 5 day break, not too far from HK?


Also, has anyone stayed at Hayman Island or Qualia Hamilton Island? Would you recommend it? Alternative is between 4 Seasons or Ritz Carlton Maui - which would you recommend?

have you considered doing something different, like going to mountains in chine - Lijiang is on my list - there are 2 banyan tree resorts in the area - looks amazing.

Would have said Hilton Resort at Sanya, Hainan Island is good. Been once and would go again, but the two Banyan Tree resorts above are excellent ideas!
