It depends on how it is attached. Floating floors are of course more prone to warping. If every piece is nailed or glued to the floor the risk of warping is rather low. Though the pieces can still contract and leave gaps.

Any humid environment increases the risk of warping.

My floating floor is warping and there are some tiles that occasionally stick to my feet and come out when I step on them.
