Has anyone tried it before?
Is it a painful process? And what do they actually do.

I have tried it many times. It is not at all painful and is in fact quite soothing. They stick a long wax candle, which is hollow, in your ear and light it. THe smoke goes down the middle and it draws out dirt, wax and other inpurities which are in your ear drum. It's actually a very old fashioned way of cleaning your ears which has been around for hundreds of years. Some places massage your neck while the candle is burning. You can also buy the candles yourself and do it at home.

You can buy the candles from the New Age Book Shop in Old Bailey Street. I think they're much cheaper than DK Aromatherapy. THe Candle Shop also used to make them but don't think they do any more.
