Hi,

Tried the YMCA or Pips Kowloon? Lots of Kindies in Kowloon Tong. I worked at Kingston and Pips Parkview. Both very good schools. My friend works at YMCA.

Depends what school are you trying to get her into for Primary school.

For International ones: I recommend Anfield, Tutor Time, Kingston, Yew Chung.

For non-international ones: the TOP schools in Kowloon are St. Catherine, Kentville, and CCKG. ( CCKG, you won't get into now, but just for your reference).

Other possible choices- York, St. Johannes, and St. Nicholas.

Agree that Anfield and Yew Chung are good ones. But you'd better find out if you can even get in. It's not so easy... You don't want to get stuck.

Christ Church Kindergarten, it is famous because statistics show that 80% of their girls get into DGS, and half gets into DBS, and majority will be accepted by DPS.

CCKG only has K2 and K3. They let St Catherine, Kentville and Victoris do all the hard work for training the K 1, then they take them away from these schools at K2. You have to stand outside the school to line up just to get the application form. Only 1 day in November.

thanks katekam, so parents have to get the application forms at CCKG during K1 at the other kindergartens?

Does anyone know if St. Johannes and St. Nicholas have websites cos I cant find them? I know that Kentville doesnt.

Also, what the teacher:student ratio like at the schools mentioned in the above posts? I think PIPS (Kowloon) is 1:13 in international stream and 1:18 in local stream.

flowers-daffodil - have to correct you there, the International stream teacher ratio is actually 1:9 as there is only a maximum of 18 students per international class and 1:14 in local stream.

Yes, this year's application form is distributed on Nov 6 by CCKG. You have to get the form in person. Interviews are in January.

Local stream's classes are over 20 students per class. Kentville over 30 with 2 teachers. I don't think the ratio is important at all, I am more concerned about the room size, and how many students are stuffed into ONE classroom.

CCKG about 20-25 with two teachers.

St. Joannes has under 20.

don't remember st. Nicholas, have a friend's son going this fall, can ask.
