I know this issue doesn't belong to this forum, but I have observed over a period of time that this forum does comprise of well read and informed contributors.
I went to one of the well known night spots in town last night which has this big cage displaying colourful birds. I was aghast at what the poor birds were being subjected to at that time in the night. Loud music, cigarette smoke to start with. Does anyone know which authorities I can write to to bring it to their attention.

Have you ever seen the animals at the "fish market"? I mean also the fishes.
I doubt anyone there will find it as inhuman. They get food, they have enough space(compared to and concidering the fact how people live here). Ahh, and if they are tired, they can sleep during the day.
