cough magic potion?

Anyone has an idea for a potion for a 4 year old with annoying cough that comes only at night, kinda dry but bothers her very much.

Doctor gives very mild syrop which helps but would like to hear any home made ones.

If possible also one that tastes nice for kids, she has massive food disorder.

Does it need prescription? have you seen it in mannings or watson's?

Also when I googled it I found this site, any idea how accurate?

It's over the counter. I think it was a Watson's.



The website refers to an advisory on Phenylpropanolamine from December 2005. Dimetapp doesn't contain Phenylpropanolamine anymore. It wouldn't be sold in the US today if it went counter to FDA regs. It was recommended by our pediatrician in the US as late as last year.
