I need a place to book a dim sum brunch the day after my wedding dinner. Most guests will be western - so it does need to have an english menu & polite staff (ie: not too "local")...MAXIMS city hall is a geat option but there is NO RESERVING :(
Ideas? In Central please.

Dragon I has great dim sum, not cheap tho, and they only do Sundays on the weekend, tel 31101222 . Otherwise, the Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor of Citic Tower is quite nice with great harbour views too, tel 28772211.

Chinese Restaurants in The Marriot, Island Shangrila & The Conrad at Pacific Place have dim sum and will be a bit more expensive but given the decor & service etc etc, it should be worth it.

Actually, Nam Fong at the Le Meridien Cyberport does great dim sum too. I haven't been there in a while though.

Not in central, but if you're looking for great dim-sum in a traditional setting... Shu Zhai at Stanley is fantastic! They serve dim-sum until 5pm daily but have a really nice dinner menu too. Great value. You could easily reserve their upstairs space for a private function.

I suggest Victoria Seafood in Citic Tower, Admiralty. Menu is not as extensive as City Hall, but dimsum is great and they accept reservations. Nice view too!

I would like to take a friend of mine for a dim sum treat. The problem is that my friend has a strict diet and does not eat meat (only veggies and seafood).
Does any one know if vegetarian dim sum cooked along with other meaty dim sum will be infused with meat flavor or oil?? Any particular restaurant recommended for vegetarians?
