Myself, my husband, our son (1 year old) and my parents are looking to spend a long weekend in Beijing at the end of Sept/start of October. I am interested in getting a guide for the full time, but have no idea how to organise this. Can anyone give me any tips?
Thanks

You can use hotel travel desk or conceige.
My recommendation is that you just plan where you want to visit and use a taxi. They are easily flagged on the road and affordable.
Many of the tourist spots are within the Beijing city.
eg. Forbidden City, Mao Mausoleum, Temple of Heaven, Zoo, Wangfujing street shopping, Silk Market
The furthest is the Great Wall of China & Ming tomb which will take a full day. For this, you can use hotel travel desk or conceige to pre-arrange a taxi at a fixed rate.
Tip: At the hotel, pick up a couple of their cards. Flip to the back and you can see the key tourist venues being written in English and Mandarin and use it as a reference for the taxi driver, if you do not communicate in Mandarin.
