My son is six going onto seven. Nowadays he is full of "hate" talk. Like if he doesn't like his breakfast bread, he will say, "I hate this bread." He will say, "I hate John. Playing with him is no fun. He grabs my toys." He could have said "I don't like ..." instead. He only started talking like this recently. Is it normal for kids his age to talk like this?

It is somewhat normal as they can easily pick up any word or anything from their school-mates, friends, cousins, T.V and most of all we the wonderful parents! I have to check my word constantly as mine pick up and speak words that was totally caught me by suprised. One night during dinner out with my brother in-law, his wife and her less than 3 year old girl, we ordered those chinese steam fish that with head and tail together, she saw it and she asked "what is that?" we told her it is a whole fish. Immediately she said I hate to eat fish and If you give it to me, i will chop that head off!!! She was holding a fork and she did it with action :( Her parents has to do a lot of work when they return to their home - they checked on every word that they speak. I have to check on my kids words a lot and constantly asking them where do they pick it from and etc..... one time the older one point to my nose and said "from YOU". I asked 'When?" He said "when you talk to your friend on the phone". gggggggghhhhhh!
