Hi. I used to have good skin. I have been having acne for 2.5 years after coming to HK. I have tried facial for few months, microdermabrasion for few months, see dermatologist ( Was on antibiotic for almost 1 month) Even tried 3 different dermatologist. How about chinese medicine? I heard is a long term medication. I do not have anymore time to wait. It has already been 2.5 years. Are there anyone out there with the similar situation and have SUCCESS? Can someone please advice or help me.

i had same problem as yours, and the worst thing is I got a lot of black spot from the acne as well thats why my face became darker than my body skin, and it really annoys me, i tried everything like you, I spent a lot of money from facials and creams...etc...etc.....and also dermatologist. I also tried the chinese doctor, and the chinese medicine, but it didnt really worked (and they are expensive)
the only thing worked for me is when i asked our family doctor to look at it, and he gave me a medicine to try and a cream to try, and the Diane35 contraceptive pills. When i saw that my pimples getting dry and small, i went for a cleansing facial and I started with the whitening line of chanel to whitens the dark spot, and happy to say it makes my face better than before.
But then once in a while I go for facial, this time I will try the beaute par zai becuase I heard from people that its good, will try the acne facial. Hope this give you an idea a bit.

Have you tried Photoflash therapy? I had acne six months ago and after a course of this treatment, it totally clear up. I know acne may be from internal problems, that's why sometimes we have try other things along side. However, photoflash really works for me. I purchased a course from glow in central. I can totally sympathise, I have struggled with acne from about the age of 12 and I am mid 40s now! A year ago I started using Proactiv Solutions and my goodness, it actually works!!. My teenagers use it too and we are real fans. Draw back is that you cannot buy it in shops in HK and have to order online. You can by it in Watsons and Mannings in Singapore and Thailand. It is maybe a bit drying but I just supplement the treatment by using good serum, eyecream and moisturiser in addition. If I stop using it (run out and have to wait for replacement) the pimples return but as soon as I start again they clear in a couple of days. It has truly been a godsend. Just google Proactiv solution to get started. Oh, and it is not hellish expensive, a four piece starter pack is about $80 Sing dollars

After trial and area it really is best to use the entire 3 steps, cleanse, toner and repair lotion. Then I slap on some serum and moisturiser on my craggy old face(other brand, currently using the Boots Protect and Perfect serum and a Clarins moisturiser, what can I say, I am a brand slut :) The refining mask is an additional use if I feel there is something brewing, it seems to help head off the occasional crisis or help out if I am getting a bit slack with the regime. I haven't tried any of the peripheral products.
I feel embarrassed that I have become so high maintenance but if it is the road I have to take to keep those wretched pimples away then I will soldier on.
