Here's something I got sent via a friend...

Ds Abroad Independence Day party this Saturday, July 5!!!

IT'S THE USA'S BIRTHDAY -- AND YOU CAN DO YOUR PART TO SAVE THE COUNTRY!!!

In 2004, Anthony's Ranch in Sai Kung had an Independence Day party at which 17 million Democrats registered to receive absentee ballots. We think the party was responsible for John Kerry's victories in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire, and are clinging to the belief that it might have accounted for his margins in Oregon and Hawaii, as well.

On Saturday, we'll be doing the whole thing all over again to enable people to get their ballots to vote for Barack Obama over George W. Bush this November. Come out to Sai Kung, register to vote at www.votefromabroad.org on the laptops Anthony's will set up, meet more Americans, celebrate our country's turning 232, and have a good time!

Details:

* Saturday, July 5, 4-7 PM

* Anthony's Ranch Sai Kung -- 28 Yi Chun Street, 2791-6113

* If you don't live in Sai Kun g, take the A1 minibus from the Choi Hung MTR station. Anthony's Ranch is across from the basketball court, near the square.

* Dress casual! Dress is so casual -- and Anthony (yes, there really is an Anthony) is so committed to the cause -- that anyone who registers to vote on www.votefromabroad.org will receive a free Anthony's Ranch T-shirt!

* Drinks will be half-price until 7 PM, with free appetizers provided. Dinners start at $68 for sandwiches, $200 for prime steaks.

Come out and see the greenery in Sai Kung, celebrate America's birthday, and bring friends to register to vote!!! Please remember that almost everyone needs to re-register to receive an absentee ballot every single calendar year.
