I have a 1+ YO, an 8 YO and a 12 YO. I would like to hear suggestions on good programs -- and which ones to avoid. Any thoughts are welcome.

Kumon is recommended by many people for maths. The style of teaching is very much rote learning but it seems effective in helping children practice addition subtraction multiplication etc.

Your 1 year old should probably be doing educational activities at home rather than going to a class. There are many activities your helper can do at home with them to begin early literacy and maths skills. A good helper training course can help with this.

Alternatively you can find a tutor to target specific areas with your children. A qualified teacher will be quite expensive but may be worthwhile for 3 children. Try posting on here or geokids to find one.

Hope that helps.
