Starting with cow milk

We want to start giving cow's milk to our 14 months old baby: anyone could share experience? you mix it with the phormula at the beginning? how much one and how much the other? which full fat cow's milk brand to chooseee?

suem - there were a lot of discussions on this forum - some really recently on this - do a search for "cows milk" - am pretty sure all your questions have been answered very recently..

also - no, dont mix it with formula - just give it as it is - full fat of course.

I will chime in and say don't mix it. The milk should be full fat. "Fresh" tastes better than UHT. We like Pura but frankly that's a taste thing.


Use caution to start since it may have an effect on bowels. After that there are few limitations. Our daughters get at least a big bottle (7 fl.oz.) a day each. Remember that the formula probably has more vitamins and stuff. But baby should be getting those from "solids" anyway at this point. You can also complement with a baby multivitamin.
