Will I be allowed to advertise my private wine collection for sale? I am not a dealer just someone who bought some wine a few years ago and now wants to off load it. If so under which category in the Classified is appropriate?

Please indicate the circumstances in the your ad - otherwise our admin staff will think you are trying to run a shop using the classifieds if they see your ad coming up multiple times without an explanation and they will reject it.


We are having some issues with too many people trying to run businesses in the classifieds and are making best efforts to prevent that.

Good idea - there are not so many items in that category so you will be on the first page for quite some time... we have hundreds of new ads per day in some of the other categories so ads get pushed off the first page quite quickly.


One of the features we will have when we overhaul the sites starting later this month is an option to buy a premium ad - for small cash you will be able to have your ad appear all of the free ads in each category for 24 hours...

Yes - there is an HKD88 cost to post in the New Items category... we set that up because so many people were mixing in 'retail' ads with used items - something we prefer not to do ... so rather than reject their ads we have tried to push them to this other section. If they want to run a small biz on the classifieds, its only fair to charge a small ad fee.

Can I repost the ad in a free category i.e. collectables or house hold goods as well?
