Our neighbour came to tell us she was going away for a couple of weeks to South Africa this last weekend and that a friend was going to come by and watch her two dogs. I have not seen anyone come to attend to the dogs yet and one of them is tied up on the roof top with no cover yelping relentlessly these last couple of days. What can we do?

Call the SPCA immediately, regardless of whether you get on with your neighbours or not there is no excuse for animal cruelty.

SweetSue please alert the SPCA ASAP! Are you able to get in contact with your neighbour to tell her your concern? Maybe she has a spare key somewhere or could tell you another way to get into her home to check on these little darlings...they wont last in this heat if they are left exposed outside without shelter, food and most importantly water...this is a terrible neglect!
