I brought a Security camera and DVR ( hard drive )

just wonder how can I transfer the data on to my computer ( as a file / cd rom )?


now I just use my digital camera to record the bit I want when i play on my TV and is so unclear


Another question


I record some tv programme using my DVD RW , other than using my DVD RW to watch the show , i would like to burn it on to dvd / cd rom so that I can watch it on my PC .



Anyone can help pls ?

1) Depends on the brand/type of DVR+security camera system you bought. If it's a commercial type (for business use), the software for transferring the recorded files should be built-in to the DVR machine. You should be able to select this function from the screen after logging in with a user name/passcode. Basically you select the day/time of the video recoded into the DVR and choose record to CDR or DVDR depending on the setup. If you still can't find a way to record, best to call the manufacturer/supplier of the system and ask.


2) I think you mean DVD Recorder (as in new type of VCR machines) instead of DVD RW (which is a type of blank DVD disc). Yes all DVD recorders can burn the video files from the DVD recorder's hard drive onto a blank DVD disc. The only thing to remember is after burning the disc, you have to FINALIZE it on the DVD recorder. If you do not finalize the disc, it won't play in other DVD players, PC/MAC included.
