Hello,
I am trying to find a nice set of music speaker for my boyfriend. I am looking to buy two speakers, amplifier, and single CD player. Anyone have any ideas of where I could shop for these? He use to be a DJ in NYC so he is quite picky. He liked B&W but I do not think I can afford them. Anyone know where to find Onkyo amps and CD players? Any advice helps! He doesn't like Bose.

If he is picky, and being a DJ he should be, I think you are wasting your time (and money) trying to buy something. Even a good name he likes has quite a variety of speakers.
Better to talk and tell him what you are trying to do. He should respect you for it, and either tell you exactly what he wants, or buy them himself with your funding.
