My girlfriend is an American citizen who will be living in Hong Kong with me for a while. I understand her visa is good for 3 months stay. If she was to go to Macau and come back, does that constitute a fresh 3 months extension? please adise....tia!

yes and you can do it for a while three or four times say and keep getting extensions that way, but immigration does get suspicious so it is best to vary things up. Some people have done it for years and there have been no questions asked, some people questions have been asked, and 3 months have not been given.
