how to remove sticky strip on frying pan

hi


just bought a new frying pan - it had a sticked on it so peeled it off - but the sticky strip still remains - cant get rid of it - tried soaking for 2 days, scrubbing with washing up liquid - even got my nails onto it but can see see it/feel it sticky...


any ideas?! thanks

Try rubbing it with a cotton pad soaked with nail polish remover...and then wash your pan REALLY well, so you don't end up eating it!

This is a sure way to get it off. Very simple.


Pour a bit of oil on the offending spot -- whatever oil you have -- I usually use olive oil since that is the only oil I ever have around. Take a paper towel and just rub it in a kind of circular motion until you have worked it off.


I know it sounds almost too easy to be true, but I swear it works.

thanks all - tried nail varnish remover - didnt work, tried boiling it - didnt work, tried oli - didnt work.....will try to find some desolv it! thanks for all your ideas!

Try Goo Gone which I've seen in the local hardware stores and maybe B&Q. Also isopropyl alcohol or stronger alcohol is an excellent solvent.
