Any other good villas besides mariott

We are planning to go to phuket with my 4 yr and 1 yr old and a helper too. Mariott has 2 properties with 2 bedroom villas but the old one is full and the new one has construction going on around it.


Is there any other place I can go to. Am quiet keen on villas and facilites for kids too.


Searching on the net is very confusing so would love to hear from families who have stayed in such places.

sorry, not much help - when I did research on it - all i found with kids facilities was indeed Marrriot (dont be fooled tho - they are not villas - but appartments in 4 storey buildings) - and indeed it was great. If you go for a villa (as oposed to a hotel) then of course there wont be any kids facilities.. Can you try different dates maybe for the Marriott. Or go for the new wing - not that great tho - outside the hotel compound...


Oh, actually - just remembered - we also stayed in Andaman cove (part of Evason) which was appartments on the hotel grounds as well - the kids club was ok, but not as good as the one in Marriot - but otherwise really lovely - here is the link:

But the kitchen etc is not as well equiped as Marriot (no washer/dryer either)

thanks Idsllvn....i did go thru their site but as u said marriott did seem better....maybe i should change around my dates for Marriott......


btw have u heard of of Laguna beach resort...it did seem like that they have 2 bedroom apts too....but am not sure of their service and kids facilites...

Hi Idsllvn, was going thru the mariott site...the one with 2 bedroom apts is Marriott Phuket Beach club hotel...and from what i understand all the restaurants and the kids club is in JW Mariott Phuket resort and spa...though they say that all the apt residents get to use the same faclilites....so my point is how far are the apts from all the restaurants and the kids club..is it all with in easy walking distance??


otherwise maybe i should take 2 connecting rooms in JW Marriott but their wont be any kitchen then (didnt want to give jars to my little one for all her meals)...

it is the same hotel - just some wings are with normal rooms and some are with 2 bed appartments - have a look - here is the map - it is within hotel grounds, yes all walking disctance - but again! - it is the old ones (which they are not really) that you want - NOT the news ones - the new ones are outside the hotel grounds - a long-ish walk - but they have their own pool and a couple of restaurants as well.


So - go for the old ones on the hotel grounds!

thanks a lot idsllvn...am waitlisted at mariott for 2 bed apts and shud come thru...so am keeping my fingers crossed...
