I spoke to 3 today and the phone is apparently 'unlocked' so you can sign up for the minimum $188 plan and use your csl plan if you're desperate to get one and don't want to buy on the grey market. Also know some people who have bought the iPhone 2G from wanchai and it occasionally gets locked and you need to pay $400 to get it unlocked again and the shop owner warned that the next time it may be more difficult/impossible to unlock.

Also notice that the 3 plan doesn't come with wi-fi like the UK plan - you have to buy this separately if you want faster download speeds.


On a Mac and the forum doesn't seem to allow me to reply from Safari

No I had the same problem replying from my mac. You have to use Firefox.
