HK adaptor for US gas valve size

I would like to buy a mosquito trap machine in the US but the valve for the gas bottle is a different size than the LPG gas bottles used in HK. Does anyone know if I can change the valve on the US machine or buy an adaptor to use the US gas valve on a HK gas bottle?

Sure. Just (get an expert to) cut off the hose close to the US regulator and attach an HK regulator. Do make sure the pressure delivered tot he hose is the same.


If you are talking Mosquito Magnet don't forget to get a supply of CO2 cartridges (for cleaning) and attractant tablets. Both are sold under the same brand as accessories.

Thanks very much axptguy38 - you always give useful advice. Much appreciated. I think it was your post elsewhere which first introduced the idea of the Mosquito Magnet to me. Do you have one here in HK?

We do not have one in HK. However we live in a complex and don't have a big garden so mosquitoes are nowhere near the problem they were at our house in the US.
