Has anyone experienced shipping household stuff and personal effects to Canada? What should I expect in terms of Customs clearance and fees? Also, I've accumulated jewellery over the 10 years I've lived here in HK for which I do not have receipts anymore. How do I bring them to Canada?

Customs do understand that you accumulate stuff with time. As long as you haven't obviously brought the jewelry to sell it commercially you won't have issues. No need for receipts.

BTW you should bring the jewelry in your hand luggage. Don't send it with the movers. Insurance issues.
