help! doc has given us a nebuliser to administer medication to my 15 month old for his chesty cough. she told me that i can just put it near baby's face while he is watching TV so he can breathe in the vapours. however, of course, baby hates it!!! he is pushing it away constantly and crying. even if we hold him down and put it near his face, he is crying so hard he is not inhaling anything at all. i've only just managed to administer one dose while he was sleeping. what about the other two doses?? anyone been in this situation before? of course i will call doc tomorrow to see what she says but in the meantime...

The poor little one! We had the same problem with our 22 month old a few weeks ago. She absolutely hated it, but we managed to use it as a game. You can also try taking of the mask component so the steam goes directly into his mouth or nasal area, or even perhaps hold it under his chin. I guess the steam and the noise it creates makes them even more scared of it. Remember to have it on hand tonight as it usually get worse throughout the night.

If it gets worse you could run a hot shower and steam up the bathroom... although it's not very pleasant inthis sort of weather anyway.

Good luck!
