Hey all,
A plan to build a raised highway all along the Kennedy Town and Pokfulam coastlines has just come to my attention. Check out this link:

Makes me a bit sad. The goal is to link Aberdeen to Central, or maybe to bypass Bonham Road traffic, though I wonder if it's actually necessary. Any thoughts?

Well, there is quite a bit of congestion so that would ease.
Building the highway on the water is probably the cheapest solution. Unfortunately any such design would probably be an eyesore.
Expanding the Aberdeen tunnel and the highways leading to it would be an alternative solution. Certainly a second deck could be added to the highway from Central to the tunnel. And more tunnels could be added. Needless to say, this solution would be MUCH more expensive.

Sh...t like this just makes me angry. Lets promote more pollution and destruction of our community for f...ks too lazy to get out of there cars.
AAAAAAAAAAAAahhhhhhhhhhh
It is so pleasant to be on the Sand Bay sport-ground looking out over the water towards Lama and Cheung Chau Islands. The new west and south lines are going in and a feasibilty study for a need for a new road should be taken after these lines are in!
Another project for the government to spend money so there mates in construction companies can get richer with little thought to needs of the population. Infastructure is important but at the cost of our enviroment? Tunnels might be more expensive but are direct. If we can get vehicles to there destinations quicker = less pollution.
I hope this is a joke.
