my son keeps having very soft poo! i spoke to a pediatrician and she suggested i stop all dairy just to see if it is that. i did - and substituted his milk with soya milk. but it still is soft!
is this normal? he loves fruit, but he doesn't eat that much that causes him to have this.
i just hope he doesn't have worms or anything. but he is growing and definitely not losing weight!
anyone have any idea?? thank you!

All babies are different. Our two have perpetual hard poo, especially #1. It's just one of those things. BTW I'd take soft over hard any day.
You'll just have to adjust the foods he eats even more. In our case we give prune puree every day and avoid "hardening" foods. You'll have to go in the opposite direction (as you are already doing with the fruit).
Foods that harden the stool include bananas and carrots. Watch out for prunes/plums
and other soft fruits.
As your child grows, some of this will most likely adjust itself.
