My baby will be born in September and I would like to begin searching for a Paediatrician for her. Does anyone have any good recommendations in the Shatin area? Thank you.

I know a few people in the Tai Po/Shatin area go to the Union Hospital near Shatin. They say the paediatricians there are very good and though they are private, they are not as expensive as the Peds in Central.

Thank you. I was thinking about that too but i'm wondering whether we'll be met by a different doctor each time. It seems better if we see the same doctor each time so he/she knows my baby.

My friends usually see the same Ped each time, I'm not sure if they request it when they make an appointment or it just turns out that way, but I'm sure the nurses will be happy to help if you make an enquiry.

i take my baby to the pediatricians at Union. A friend of mine recomended them to me and i reccomended them to another friend all of us are happy with their services. U can choose the doc u want to see. They give you a follow up card and usually ur child is seen always by the same doc, unless it's an emergency and u take baby when the doc isnot on duty. I find that both doctor
Helen Wang and Dr lee are good, though one is available only in the morning and the other only in the afternoon.
they dont overlaod baby with medications, they are probreastfeeding and i think they are good.

that's wonderful! i've heard horror stories of peds in hk giving 3 month old antibiotics. thank you everyone.
