Why delete my posting?

Sometimes innocuous threads which do not contravene posting rules disappear, I think its a bug with the site, rather then the thread being deleted by editors. The thread the poster refers to was a simply one seeking advise on work. It happened twice yesterday. Someone else posted a thread seeking advice on executive MBA's I responded to the poster and when I clicked submit was taken to an error page and when I went back to the main page, the thread had disappeared all together. Very strange indeed.

Generally if we delete a post or reply we hit a Warning option which sends a notice to the person that what they have posted is unacceptable - along with a link to the rules...


If we move a thread to a more appropriate forum we post a note on the bottom of the thread indicating where it is (the person who posted would get a notice).


Unfortunately people do not always check their messages...
