Hi,
What would be the easiest way for a Canadian Expat to trade HK equities? Are they offered by local banks or do I have to do it through Canada? Thanks.

If you are trading frequently, try interactive brokers based in US, not local but they are able to trade HK securities are derivatives.
I chose them because I day trade and their commissions are low. Their datafeed is pretty good too and their booking system is very good, my opinions.
If you're not frequently trading, then a local broker maybe for you. However, when I asked around, most of the brokers support products aren't too English friendly.
