We are booking a holiday to Langkawi on Malaysia airlines and keep getting different quotes for the taxes & charges.
One travel agent quoted $1160 pp (inclusive) as did the airline's website - however the agent we are booking with insists this doesn't include a HK security tax so they are charging extra - $1211 pp
Anyone have any thoughts on this to help?
Thanks!!

why not just book with the agent or with the airline direct if you are unsure?

I would prefer to go with this agent as its the best deal on other accounts, and they are recommended - just want to make sure we are paying the right price!

well if you go with what the airline is charging it should be the same for taxes with the agent otherwise they are making money of you on this.

i have had the same before - looked on airline and it was one price, agent quoted higher. Asked the agent and she said something about agent's fees included!! nearly fell off my chair - so always book directly via the airline websites now..

I know, its incredible the array of 'extras' they can think up!
We usually book flights through the airline direct but for packages the agents usually get better offers etc - we already booked but still there was a huge variety between different agents on costs etc for the SAME deal (same flyer, offer etc). I just don't get it!!!
