Does anybody know of companies that safely dispose of old computer equipment (laptops, hard drives, cell phones, etc.)? Am mostly concerned about data security, but if it is done in an environmentally friendly manner that would of course be nice, too.
On a related note, any good recommendations for what to do older accessories (memory cards, etc.)? All working perfectly, but of no use to me any longer and not worth the hassle to sell on Classifieds, so would be happy to give them to a school or similar for free.

Recycling your used computer has never been easier. The Computer Recycling Programme is fully funded by the industry and supported by the EPD and the green groups, and it provides collection services all over Hong Kong. You can make a difference to the environment and to people in need. Think twice before you discard your old computers. Recycle them!
