Savings

I would like to try saving some money each month - not huge amounts but enough to build up over time. I bank with HSBC but they don't seem to offer the kind of savings plan I'm looking for - no lump sum investment but monthly payments, fixed rate interest - reasonable rate, limited access (to stop the shopping fairy!).

Any ideas gratefully received

Thanks

The Bank of China has a Club Deposit Account. I have used this type of saving account to set aside money to pay my tax bill.

thanks for the link abalonely, but one thing I never undrstood about the banks. Why the heck when they give me a link to "calculate your savings" bla bla bla, they ask to input the monthly amount of deposit and THE INTERSET RATE???!!!!!!so if I put 20% they will give me that?????

you have a plan? pay extra hkd20 to your web administrator to change the setting per day so people would know if your plan is worth anything!
