Hi
Does anyone know why King Elephant has closed...was the best place for dim sum! Anyone recommend any of the other places?

Tried to find it today and was also disappointed to see it had shut. Went to another restaurant that did excellent dim sum at a reasonable price. On the same floor but at the opposite end of the building. Sorry don't remember the name. There were the usual girls near the escalators with menus, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

I much prefer the Laurel to King Elephant -- the dim sum are tastier and less greasy, and it's less smoky. Can't remember which floor it's on, but the signs are easy to spot. They even offered me a VIP card that gives me a 10% discount. It's very popular, so you should go early in order to get a table.

Bumped into one of the girls who worked there. The owner was always three months behind with the staff wages - nothing they could do about that - they at least had dormitories to sleep in and food to eat but the owner closed the place and 'ran'. All staff lost 3 months wages. As if life isn't hard enough for them anyway!!
