I picked up an 18-string guzheng out of the classifieds a month or two ago. I was hoping someone could recommend me a teacher that can show me the basics or teach me some traditional songs.
I have a good basis in music due to taking piano lessons for ten years starting at age 8. I've since taught myself a few instruments just through observation, the internet, and playing by ear. However, I'd like to actually learn proper technique and some Chinese songs with the guzheng. Hope someone can recommend a teacher.

My daughter used to play the guzheng, Used to have lessons at The seven strings music shop, just across the road from the Regal Kai Tak. Sorry don't know the number, but the shop is still there. The guy had excellent English, quite well known in musioc circles, even played for the queen. The shop specialises in chinese instruments and pianos.
