I am trying to send photos as an email and keep getting a message"smtp.mail.yahoo.com cannot be contacted on port 465" What is this and how do I fix it??

Your issue is that you are trying to send email through a server using port 465. Since port 465 this is a notorious spam outlet many ISPs block it unless you use their own server. There are two solutions.
- Find out if smtp.mail.yahoo.com allows use of an alternative port, and use that one.
- Find an smtp server provided by your ISP (PCCW or other) and use that instead.
You should contact Yahoo and PCCW support at this point and ask. I am not an iPhoto user but I am guessing you can change the port and smtp server somewhere once you have some options.

I use an external authenticated smtp server from www.travelsmtp.com/hk/, very reliable, 190 HKD per year and my problems are solved for ever. No more webmail or external duplicate e-mail addresses like gmail or whatever. I can use my own e-mail software and my own e-mail account and send out e-mail from anywhere, no matter what network I am logged in to. Also runs on a different tcp port so it won't be blocked by some ISP's.
