printer

looking for a printer for my family .

a simple printer . doesn't need t print out photo just some doc. file


fax + balck and white copies + scanning

+ as small as possible

I brought her a Brother before . size is good everything are pretty good till running out of ink . she ran out of black ink and the printer require to change the black ink and color ink together in order to get it work again, even tho u just run out of ink .( she first get the org ink , and also the " copy" ink but doesn't work

she thinks that is way to expensive


so any suggestion . I m looking at canon but when I got to fortress they then sell me HP .

If you only need black printing, I find that laser is really worth it. No pesky inkjet inks. Lasers are more expensive though, both in purchase and in toner (ink). Printing quality is very consistent and build quality tends to be higher than for the more consumer oriented inkjets.



HP is consistently very good. Sounds like you need one of the all-in-ones. Last year's model, the HP LaserJet 3055, is on my desk. A great little machine. Fax, copier, scanner (scanning is in color of course) and printer. Make sure you get flatbed scanning and a document feeder. These are well worth the little extra money. I had a similar machine in the US for three years and never had any issues.


If a laser is too much, get an inkjet all-in-one.
