Not likely because they'd usually prefer somewhere a bit warmer, but even if they are there, are they causing a problem?

Agreed with 9-11. Lizards and such are great to have in the house. They eat the bugs that are actually annoying. The occasional tiny lizard poo is a small price to pay.

what do you guys mean, why evict!!? some of us would have a heart attack if we see one in our flat! I know I would!

its not that i mind them being in there, just value my aircon more!!! and found some "gecko poo!" this morning which is freaking me out more than the geckos themselves.............might just leave them be and just deal withh their "mess"

Lizards are cute. Even my daughters think so. ;) Yes I know that is subjective.
The things is that I hate mosquitoes far more than lizard poo can ever annoy me.

Hah, what a coincidence. My girlfriend and I were talking about geckos last night, and my co-worker and I the day before. Seems that most Asian people are terrified of them, and westerners think they're cute, or a small nuisance at worst. Also, the girls were both convinced the geckos are "insects", and my girlfriend and her mom think I'm crazy for hating cockroaches more than geckos.
If you have a air conditioner inside the flat, just unplug it and open it up. If it's outside the window, you'll have to get creative. Try burning some incense right in front of the air intake... smoke them out. Don't worry if you don't like the smell of incense stuck in there, it'll be flushed through your air conditioner in less than a day.

had rentokil in yesterday and he confirmed they were totally harmless and not even much of a nuisance - apart form the odd poo.there were "traps" to get rid of them but have decided to let them stay put!
