I am looking into berthing our 24ft boat in Gold Coast.

Problem is that I was wondering where to go out for a day? where to do water skiing or wake board close to the Gold Coast Marina?....

It sounds an easy thing to do in Clearwater Bay, Sai Kung or Repulse Bay but I am not sure about Gold Coast...

Thanks for your help!

I know some of the boat owners at the marina take their boats out to just off the airport and do wakeboarding, etc there.

No really goo places for water sports there hence the large number of vacant berths. I keep my boat in Sai Kung but live in Yuen Long but it is worth it for the beaches and stuff

Sai Kung is ideal. Lots of coves and flat water for wakeboarding/skiing tubing and as above mentioned access to beaches are plenty.

Totty, You menioned tht the boat owners you know go to the airport for wakeboarding, etc..., I thought the airport was quite far away by boat. How long time they take to go there?

Apart from going to the airport, it seems there is nothing much to do. I agree the Marina is not full at all, but there are still a few small boats there. Where do they go when outting for a day?

You mean there aren't any nice beaches at all close the Gold Coast?
