Has anyone seen fresh cream (not the UHT stuff) anywhere?

Seems quite hard to come by - do Kowloon Diary do it?

Park and Shop have a brand called "Express" and they do single and double cream. You might need to go to the bigger ones, like Mcdonald Road to get it tho.

Thanks, but that stuff is UHT - I think it's made in the UK and heat treated for export/shipping/long life.

I asked a chef the other day if he had found it, and he said you can't get it here - understandably as it's not used in local cuisine and it spoils quickly.

I asked the question of friends at dinner one night (the most reliable source for authoritative advice!) and was told that there are govt restrictions on the retail sale of fresh cream in HK. The importation and sale of fresh cream is limited to supplies for the restaurant/catering sector.


You can - however - pick some up at TC Deli in Hang Hau village from time to time...
