Connecting Mac to Netvigator??????

I hope someone can help?

I have just bought a new Mac and wish to connect to the internet via my Netvigator broadband account. I have a standard Netvigator modem, but have this connected to a Belking wireless router. Hence I wish to connect my new Mac via this wireless Belkin (as the cable connection points in my apartment are really inconveniently located).

I am having absolutely no luck using the Network Setup Assistant. I am brand new to Mac (this being my switch from PC) hence I'm both lost and frustrated.

Any assistance anyone can give would be gratefully accepted.

Cheers

I can tell you that there is nothing inherently stopping you from using a Mac. Unfortunately that is the limit of my knowledge.

Can your Mac see the belkin wireless network? Top right of your desktop there should be a small icon (near the date and time) that looks like a set of concentric radiating arcs. Click on this and see if you can see your network...

I am assuming that the belkin was previously set up to connect to the Netvigator modem and share the connection wirelessly...
