Window safety locks on metal window frames

ORIGINAL POST

there was a thread about 3 months ago and I saw it - some people use door safety chains for it - which sound fine - can it be fixed onto metal frames tho? Anyone had that done - we have metal window (and balcony door) frames - so am a bit worried that impossible to drill? Also - where do I get the chains - no idea I am afraid!

we had proper locks installed on our window frames (about 15 of them!). The lock is drilled into the frame with a key lock, when the key is removed, the window cannot be opened. You can't see the keyhole as it is drilled behind the opening handle. the cheapest source we found was in north point for $250 per window (not cheap but considering the risk.....) Balcony doors no one seems to do them, except for some company on lockhart road called Chevalier or similar. they wanted $500 per window!

Yes the lock is drilled into the metal frames (we have white aluminium windows). I lost the guy's card but I recall he's on King's Road (main road where north point funeral parlour is located). If you head towards direction of Quarry Bay, he is on the left side just pass the funeral. It's a window contractor shop. Sorry couldn't be more specific, gd luck.
