Yes cara, it is another name for cotton candy. I know they sell it at the little cart at Megabox on the children's shops level. I think i also saw a fairy floss maker in B&Q also at Megabox

I was actually wanted to buy it in ready made packets. I was going to use some to decorate a birthday cake.
