I want to buy my husband a fun little gadget for his birthday -- photography or music related maybe, like something to convert slides and negatives to digital, or to convert LP records to digital. What's the best place to go? As a non geek I find the Wanchai computer mall pretty overwhelming. Any advice? Thanks

For converting LP to CD, there's this small store in Times Sq. near the top floor selling all sorts of Japanese stuff. They're nearby one of the corners with an escalator, sorry don't remember the name. I think these sell now for less than HKD1000. Pretty helpful staff and definitely not the same experience going to any of the "computer malls" in HK.
