when are the big HK sales?

You've just missed the summer sales which ended in August. The next big sale is just before Chinese New Year. A lot of places start their sales around Christmas time and go until Chinese New Year.

Have you tried Horizons Plaza in South Horizons, Ap Lei Chau? It's a multi-storey block which contains a Joyce's 'factory' outlet; ie, it has cheaper designer clothes and shoes than the Joyce's you find in HK. I got 4 pairs there about a month ago for just over 4,000HKD - all designer - and a fraction of what I would have paid at the main shop. The prices are 'season' based meaning the more out of the current season it is, the higher the discount -- very entertaining. Well worth the ride round the island, and hours of fun.


While I'm here, does anyone know of any shoe/clothing catwalk events coming up

that the public can attend? If anyone's frivolous enough to go with me, I'd love the company - meeting of shoe minds!

Manolo Blahnik is still having sales up to 60% off. On Pedder had a warehouse clearance sale at Time Square mid september and i'm guessing this coming mid february. You can get Christian Louboutin if you are there the beginning of the sale. Horizon Plaza has Lane Crawford 25th floor, Joyce Warehouse 21st fl, Bluemarine, Jimmy Choo, Paul Smith 22nd fl, Max Azria, 26th fl. Hope this helps.
